Stingrays are not easy animals to keep, so research and preparation need to be done prior to making a purchase. PetSolutions sells captive raised motoros, making them much easier to get eating and acclimated to an aquarium, but they still require special care. This animal will require a large aquarium, and may have trouble getting to food if kept with faster or more aggressive tank mates. Stingrays are often kept as the only resident in an aquarium. Gravel and other sharp decorations must be avoided as they can scratch the bottom of the Ray and cause injury, disease, and death. Sand is an excellent substrate for this animal. Feeder fish, krill, cut shrimp, and other meaty foods suit it best. This fish needs to be kept in a very large aquarium due to its large adult size. A 250 gallon aquarium or larger would be a good starting point.
We cannot ship this fish to Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas
