In addition, if an order is placed that contains Saltwater Items (Saltwater Fish, Corals, Live Rock, and/or Invertebrates) with Freshwater Fish/Live Aquarium Plants, Dry Goods, Frozen Foods, Reptiles, or Live Pond Plants, the order will be split into separate orders, and you will be charged separate shipping rates for each order.

Our 14-Day Guarantee is our guarantee that your Live Deliveries shipment will be delivered alive and remain alive for a full 14 days from the shipping date. Important Information for Shipping All Live Items

PetSolutions Live Fish Shipping InfoAll orders for live items are shipped via FedEx and are only available for delivery within the 48 contiguous states. Standard delivery days are Tuesday through Friday, and we do offer Saturday delivery in limited areas. If Saturday delivery is available in your area, that option will appear during the online order checkout process, and there will be an extra shipping charge listed beside the Saturday delivery option. If ordering over the phone, a member of our expert customer service staff can assist you in finding out if Saturday delivery is available in your area.

We recommend someone be available at the delivery address to bring the boxes indoors as soon as possible. Allowing the delivery to sit in heat or cold outdoors could be detrimental to the health of the live items. FedEx will leave the package if they deem the location is safe. Otherwise, they will return it to the hub, and a second attempt will be made. If an order is placed that contains items from more than one category, such as dry goods, live saltwater fish, live freshwater fish, reptiles, live plants, and frozen food, the order will be split into separate orders and charged with the appropriate shipping charges for each order.

Please note, ship days are based on receiving proper credit card authorization. If there is a delay or problem with the credit card authorization, your order will be delayed.

Substitutions / Delayed Shipping

Due to seasonal availability, daily health inspections, and other considerations, animals are sometimes unavailable for shipment. If the situation arises, PetSolutions will ship the order if 70% of the dollar value of your order is available, canceling the out of stock items. We may also substitute the unavailable animal with a different size, or in the case of live plants, an equivalent plant may be substituted. A request for “No Substitutions” or “Ship Complete” may be requested when ordering. You may also request to have the order held for a future date of delivery. Please note, special requests may result in a shipping delay or order cancellation due to items being unavailable at the time of shipping. Placing an order to be delivered on a date in the future does not hold the items on the order, and items may be sold out before shipping can be completed. PetSolutions is unable to backorder any live items.


Should it be necessary to cancel a live order, please contact PetSolutions at 1-800-737-3868 or by e-mail at [email protected]. Please have your order number and billing address available when requesting a cancellation. Cancellation requests must be made before 11:30am Eastern Standard Time. Order cancellations made after this time may have already shipped, and customer will be responsible for accepting the order.
