Submersible Pond Filters

Submersible filters represent the most basic type of pond filtration, they are dropped into the pond itself. They will require a pump that will create a vacuum and move the water through the filter without exceeding the filters maximum capacity of gallons per hour. The water will flow through the filter, to the pump, then out to the pond typically through a fountain head. Submersible, or internal, filters usually have a filter box with mechanical and biological filtration to keep the pond water crystal clear.
