Fluker's Night Time Red Basking Light for Reptiles

Fluker's Night Time Red Basking Light for Reptiles is a professional series infrared heat lamp that provides radiant heat in terrariums for reptiles and amphibians during the night time cycle. It also provides night time viewing of your reptiles, without disturbing nocturnal routines. It helps provide the radiant heat (or infrared light) that reptiles need in order to survive and thrive. Reptiles need access to the correct environmental temperature range (ETR) to regulate their core body temperatures. ETRs vary from species to species, so take care when choosing the correct bulb. Fluker's Night Time Red Basking lights each have a 3,500 hour life under normal usage.

Directions

  • Gently fasten the Fluker's incandescent bulb into a Fluker Clamp Lamp or Hood or any UL approved incandescent fixture. Do not plug light fixture into an electrical sock until bulb is fastened firmly to fixture.
  • Place light fixture outside of reptile's enclosure. NEVER place the light fixture inside the enclosure. Reptiles can develop life-threatening thermal burns from contact with an exposed light bulb.
  • Multiple incandescent lights may be required to establish an appropriate ETR. A thermometer can be used to monitor temperature within the reptile's environment.
  • Reptile behavior is directly tied to photoperiod (light cycle), so it is important to provide appropriate intervals of light and darkness.
  • Fluker's recommends a 12-hour day/12-hour night light cycle. Fluker's blue light is perfect for the day light cycle.
  • Please note, bulb becomes extremely hot while in use. Avoid contact with flammable material.
