Notes: This snail burrows into the sand bed preventing anaerobic zones from forming. The bumble bee snail is also well known for its scavenging abilities. We recommend approximately 1 sand burrowing snail of this size per 1.5 gallons of aquarium capacity. Reproduction in captivity was reported by J. Sprung "Invertebrates. A quick reference guide."
