Notes: This goby makes its home in the sand substrate of the ocean. Often it shares the burrow that it makes with a pistol shrimp of the genus Alpheus. The shrimp warns the goby of impending danger. It is important to provide the goby with a sand bed, so that it can dig out these burrows. Small shrimp, such as brine or mysid are excellent foods to offer the goby when it is first introduced into the aquarium.
