Notes:  Anthias are found in large groups on the coral reefs of the Indian and Pacific Oceans.  Males of the species will defend a section of the reef as their territory from other males.  Multiple females are kept as a harem in this territory by the males.  When introducing to an aquarium, a small group of females should be introduced first followed later by a male.
