The Yellownose Butterfly is also commonly referred to as the Dusky Butterfly or the Black Butterfly. The primary body color on this fish is a dark gray to black with yellow and white on the fins and a black bump on the front of the fish above its eyes. In the wild this fish is found in rocky reef areas where it grazes on algae, corals, and small invertebrates. In captivity it will eat frozen and flake foods such as Mysis Shrimp, Formula One, Formula Two, and other commercially prepared marine food.
