The Yellow Rainbow is also known as the Lake Tebera Rainbowfish, which is named for the lake this fish is native to in Papua New Guinea. Like all rainbowfish this will be a very active swimmer in an aquarium, and will do best in a long tank with plenty of water volume. This fish is one of the smaller type rainbows, with an adult size of only about 3 inches. This fish will do best in groups of its own kind, and will exhibit a schooling behavior. This fish is primarily a carnivore and will prefer meaty foods, but will also sometimes eat non meat based foods if the opportunity presents itself.
