Wisteria (bunch)

Wisteria, Hygrophila difformis, is without a doubt one of the most impressive background plants available within the hobby. The plant is not only a beautiful specimen, but it also helps to fight the onset of algae in the planted aquarium. Wisteria's ability to grow at a fast rate takes nutrients from the water that might otherwise fuel an algae bloom. H. difformis is indigenous to locals of Southeast Asia and India. Wisteria's ability to thrive under a wide range of water conditions combined with it's delicate leaf structure has no doubt only helped to promote the plant's popularity within the hobby. Reproduction is accomplished through cuttings and the development of side shoots.
