Wild Kachese Moorii Cichlid
The Wild Kachese Moorii Cichlid, Tropheus moorii 'kachese', is endemic to the African rift lake Tanganyika, specifically the Kachese region. Like other freshwater fish from the rift lakes, aquarium water should be buffered to a specific pH level. For Tanganyikan Cichlids this range is 7.4 to 9.4 and several products are available to handle this requirement. T. moorii has a herbivorous diet primarily made of aufwuchs, which is a type of green algae. When spawning, females carry the young in their mouth. All wild caught African cichlids offered by Pet Solutions are first generation aquarium fish (F0). Wild caught cichlids are the brightest colored cichlids available.
