Twinspot Goby
Twinspot Gobies, Signigobius biocellatus, are found living in the reefs of the Indo Pacific region. This fish has a number of common names including 4-Wheel Drive, Two Spot, Signal, and Crabeye Goby. Most of the common names refer to the well-defined pair of eyespots located on the dorsal fins. The fish is renowned for its ability to build burrows in the sand bed of the reef or aquarium, thus keeping the sand well-stirred. This stirring action will prevent the development of "dead spots" in the substrate. This Goby readily adapts to a diet of frozen or live shrimp such as Mysis Shrimp or Brine Shrimp.
