Tunze Turbelle Nanostream Water Pumps
These energy efficient pumps offer high flow rates to suit the needs of hobbyists, while transferring little heat to the aquarium. Aquarium powerheads produce an excessively high flow rate in the core area of the water jet and a much too low flow in the marginal areas. This can lead to stress on the aquarium inhabitants, in particular on coral polyps. The Tunze Turbelle generates gentle parallel flow lines in the aquarium with more uniform flow rates, eliminating a hard water jet. These units include a bracket hanger, or can be used with the optional Magnet Holder. The 6101 and 6201 models are electronically controllable for use with the 7091 or 7095 controllers. They allow you the option of variable flow rates to match your needs at that time. *Models 6060 and 6080 are NOT controllable and can not be used with the 7091 or 7095 controllers.
