Tunze Doc Skimmers

This model series of DOC (Dissolved Organic Carbons) protein skimmers utilize a compact design and high performance air jet injection to offer efficient skimming in a smaller package. Designed to be placed in either the aquarium or a sump system, the DOC skimmers have a skimmer collection cup that is also part of the reaction chamber, allowing easy cleaning to maintain efficiency. The energy efficient hydrofoamer water pump and air jet can operate in water 4 to 11 inches deep in a sump. The outlet uses a foam cartridge to eliminate small bubbles from washing out into the sump. The Nano DOC Skimmer 9002 is designed to allow proteins to diffuse into the reaction chamber through the bottom and back side, protecting the microplankton of the aquarium, making this an excellent design for refugium style systems.
