This native African fish is primarily a vegetarian but will also appreciate meaty foods added to its diet to provide variety. Tank temperature for the Bemba flame should be a little warmer than some aquarists are used to, with a water temperature of 80 to 82 degrees Farenheit. They like a lot of rocky cover for shelter, and so that they can establish a territory in the aquarium.
