Tiger Goby
Tiger Goby, Valencienna wardii, is another Goby that is a hardy, reef safe, easy-care, community aquarium choice. Also known as Ward's Goby or Tiger Sleeper Goby, it has a striking coloration of alternating wide red and white bands with various black striping accents. In the home aquarium, the Tiger Goby may become somewhat fiesty or territorial with members of its same species. Once considered rare in the aquarium trade, the Tiger Goby will spend its day sifting through sandy substrate. Peaceful tankmates and plenty of room are both important elements for successfully keeping the Tiger Goby. Frequent feedings of a variety of foods including Brine Shrimp and bloodworms will help the Tiger Goby grow to its 5-inch potential maximum size.
