Strawberry Pseudochromis
Strawberry Pseudochromis, Pseudochromis porphyreus, are found living in several reefs of the Indo Pacific region. Also known by the common names Strawberry Dottyback or Purple Pseudochromis, these striking beauties are agile swimmers that bring a wealth of color to the aquarium. Usually found in the passages between corals, they rarely venture into the open areas of the ocean. They are also revered for their ability to hunt and consume bristleworms. Pseudochromis love a treat of frozen or live shrimp (brine or mysid) as a meal.
