Spotted Hawkfish
A very hardy aquarium fish, the Cirrtichthys aprinus or Spotted Hawkfish comes from the Western Pacific Ocean. Growing to approximately 5 inches in length, it can be kept in a 20 gallon or larger aquarium. Found in a harem in the wild, the male will be larger than the females. Best kept singly in the aquarium, this Hawkfish can display moderate aggression, and since it will eat shrimp, crabs and even small fish, should best be kept in a fish only style aquarium. It will quickly adapt to a diet of meat based prepared foods and show quite the appetite. Like most Hawkfish, it will perch on the rocks/corals waiting for food.
