Splendid Pseudochromis
Splendid Pseudochromis, Pseudochromis splendens, adds character and color to the fish only or to the reef aquarium. One of the larger members of the Pseudochromis, the Splendid Pseudochromis can grow to 5 inches in the wild, but rarely exceeds 3 inches in captivity. Its light yellow body covered with deep blue uniform mottling is a true eye catcher. A carnivore like other Pseudochromis, it prefers a meaty diet that should include regular feedings of live or frozen foods. The Splendid Pseudochromis may bother (eat) very small ornamental shrimp and may be defensive of its territory, but is a hardy, attractive aquarium addition.
