Singapore Angel
Known as the Singapore Angelfish, the Chaetodontoplus mesoleucus comes from the Western Pacific. Not the largest angel, growing to 7 inches in length, it is nevertheless not a completely reef safe Angelfish. This is a somewhat challenging fish to keep in the aquarium and should be considered only by advanced aquarists. A very shy fish, it should be kept with peaceful tankmates and will do best if you can provide a little live rock and macroalgae. It likes a varied diet of vegetable and meat based foods. It is reported to even eat filamentous algae and diatoms. You should provide plenty of hiding places in the rocks to make this Angelfish feel secure.
