Ruby Red Peacock

Ruby Red Peacock, identified as Aulonocara stuartgranti or Aulonocara rubescens, is one of the many subspecies of Red Peacocks. All of these change greatly from juvenile to adult coloration. All are attractive and all have very minute differences in coloration. As juveniles, they have a golden-yellow overtone with some vertical banding. As adults, the coloration varies from a blue-gray with red portions to simply completely red. The vertical banding remains constant with this family, regardless of age. Juvenile and adult male shown. Females are less colorful. Fish shipped will be selected randomly.

Approximate Arrival Size for Red Ruby Peacock: 1.5 to 3 in.
