Rose Belly Fairy Wrasse
Rose Belly Fairy Wrasse, Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura, has exceptional coloration that varies with different lighting scenarios. Also known as the Fine Spotted Fairy Wrasse, this Australian carnivore readily adapts to aquarium life when offered a wide variety of meaty foods such as Brine Shrimp and zooplankton. It will reach a mature captive size of approximately 4 inches and is highly recommended for a reef aquarium. A sand bed and Live Rock should be provided for all Wrasses. They will bury themselves in the sand to sleep or hide. Live Rock provides numerous small life forms that the Wrasses consider a tasty treat as well as providing another place to hide when they feel threatened. Being “leapers", Fairy Wrasses require a covered aquarium.
Approximate Arrival Size for Fairy Wrasses: 1.5 to 3 in.
