Red Scooter Blenny
Red Scooter Blenny, Synchiropus stellatus, can be found living in the coral rubble of several reefs of the Western Pacific region. An amusing addition to the sand bed of your aquarium, the Red Scooter Blenny requires a well-established aquarium with Live Sand as the substrate, through which it can sift for live matter. Also known as the Starry Dragonet, Scooter Blennies can be a challenge to feed, but are otherwise great reef aquarium inhabitants. The mottled red coloration of this Blenny is decorated with a number of small jewel marks. Blennies are territorial by nature and multiple types of Blennies should only be attempted in larger aquariums that can afford numerous hiding places.
