A stunning fish when kept in schools, mature specimens allow you to easily sex them quite easily, the male will have a rosy red coloration over the general golden color of the body. The fins will have a black fringe and there might be a few black splotches on the body. The female will have basically a golden body with just a hint of red. Growing to about 5 inches in length, the Red Glass Barb should be kept with medium to large Community fish. As an omnivore, they will eat most prepared aquarium foods and tend to school in the open areas of the tank. There should also be some vegetation to allow them a shelter for quiet times.
