Rapids Pro Series Wet/Dry Filter
Designed as an “all in one” system, the Rapids Pro offers all three stages of filtration: mechanical, chemical and biological. Utilizing a Surface Skimmer Overflow to draw in water from the surface of the aquarium, the water drains to the bottom filter module, passing through the built in air driven Protein Skimmer to remove excess organic wastes. The water will then pass over a three stage media chamber with mechanical pads on top, then Bio-Balls and finally chemical media and Sintered Glass Cylinders. This system includes a submersible water pump to circulate the water from the filter to the aquarium, with a rated water flow of 1000 GPH at 5 foot of head height. Also included is the Aqua Lifter pump to help maintain the siphon for the Overflow box and a strong air pump to run the wooden air stone of the Protein Skimmer. Unique to the PS4 system is the Auto Fill chamber that allows you to slowly add new (fresh) water to the filter as water is lost via evaporation. *Please note that the PS3 system does not include the Auto Fill System, but in can be purchased separately. PS3 and PS4 measure 15" x 9" x 20.5", Auto Fill System measures 15" x 9" x 17.5".
