The Powder blue tang is one of the most coveted specimens of marine life kept in the modern home aquarium. This fish is suitable for both reef tanks and fish only tanks, though this tang does tend to be aggressive toward other tangs if the same species so care should be taken if attempting to house this fish with another tang. This tang is considered an herbivore but it is also a feeder of opportunity that will happily chase down bits of meaty food such as frozen Mysis shrimp. As with any member of the Tang family, use of a quarantine aquarium is strongly recommended for receiving this fish.
