Pajama Cardinalfish
Pajama Cardinalfish, Sphaeramia nematoetara, is a colorful, hardy addition to the home aquarium and the perfect choice for aquarists of all experience levels. Also known as the Orbic Cardinal or the Red Spotted Cardinal, its size makes it perfect for large and for small aquariums. Groups of Pajama Cardinalfish do particularly well, especially if given plenty of room. Its coloration makes the Pajama Cardinal a striking fish with shades of yellow throughout the body and fins, a dark "belt" running from the dorsal fin to the underside, and deep red spots on the back half of the body. This fish displays no aggression toward other fish, corals, or invertebrates. Care should be taken to ensure that other species do not pick on the Pajama. It will accept a variety of foods including Brine Shrimp and bloodworms, and will typically accept flake food fairly easily.
