The Oriental Flying Gurnard is a large and unique fish. The housing for this fish will be similar to a stingray when setting up the aquarium. This fish is a bottom dweller and will tend to cruise the bottom of the aquarium, so it is very important to provide a very open and unobstructed tank. Sand must be used as a substrate, so that it does not irritate the fish. This fish is a carnivore and will want meaty foods such as Mysis or brine shrimp but other meaty frozen food will work well also.
