Orange Blotch Peacock
The Orange Blotch Peacock, Aulonocara, is a man-made cichlid species. This fish is ideal for the Beginning aquarist because the O B Peacock is very hardy and only mildly aggressive. If you are hoping for a specific color/pattern from this fish, sorry, their coloration is varied. This particular species will reach an adult length of 4”, which means it must be kept in a large aquarium, preferably no less than sixty gallons. The tank temperature range for the O B Peacock should be 78-82°F. The Orange Blotch is an omnivore and likes just about anything from flake/pelleted food to small meaty foods.
