Opaline Gourami
Opaline Gourami, Trichogaster trichopterus, is a popular variation of the Blue Gourami and is sometimes thought to be a cross with the Pearl Gourami, T. leeri. Also known as the Cosby Gourami, this fish is peaceful with any fish that are not a great deal smaller. This community fish will gladly accept dried, frozen, and live foods. A combination of these, particularly the frozen and live foods, should help the Opaline Gourami to maintain its distinct mottled blue appearance. Slightly soft water is best, but water conditions are not critical as it has a labyrinth organ and will visit the surface on a regular basis for air, regardless of water conditions.
Approximate arrival size for Opaline Gourami: 1.5 to 3 inches
