Micro Sword

Micro Swords, Lilaeopsis novae-zelandiae, is native to the islands of New Zealand as the scientific name implies. As aquarium plants go, this one can be demanding on the gardener. It is a slow grower and wants lots of bright lighting. If conditions are correct for its growth, it makes an awesome foreground plant. Micro Swords will fill in an empty area if given enough time by sending out runners to start new stalks.
