MacNeill's Basslet

MacNeill's Basslet, Assessor macneilli, is an excellent addition to reef aquariums of any size: either a single specimen for smaller or a number of them for a larger aquarium. If more than one are to be present in the same aquarium, it is recommended to introduce them at the same time. This native of Australian waters prefers to dart in and out of Live Rock. Its coloration is a deep, velvety midnight blue. Macneill's Basslet is also known as the Blue Assessor or Blue Devilfish. It is typically peaceful toward fish of other species. Being a carnivore, it readily accepts meaty meals including Brine Shrimp and frozen prepared foods. A great fish for aquarists of all experience levels.
