Longfin Serpae Tetra
Longfin Serpae Tetra is a stunning variation of Hyphessobrycon serpae. This orange-red fish with flowing fins has just enough black markings on the fins, tail, and body to truly make it an aquarium showpiece. For best effect, the Longfin Serpae should be kept in schools of six or more, preferably with peaceful with fish of its own size or larger. Serpae Tetras may nip the fins of longer-finned and slower-moving species. The Serpae Tetra will rarely grow more than one inch in length in the home aquarium. While it will accept dried foods, occasional feedings of live or frozen foods will help to maintain its red radiance. Blackworms and bloodworms tend to be particular favorites.
