Longfin Leopard Danio
Longfin Leopard Danio, Brachydanio nigrofasciatus is also known as the Spotted Danio. This peaceful and hardy fish is a perfect schooling fish for aquarists of all experience levels. Swimming at all levels of the aquarium, its activity level is matched by its appetite, where fortunately it is not picky. Dried, frozen, and live foods are all eaten eagerly. A fish originating from the clean, well-aerated waters of Burma, the Longfin Leopard Danio has a blue-gray body with golden striping along the midline of the body and golden mottlings dissipating down the body and onto the anal fin. Preferring water around 75 degrees, it is not particular about water hardness or pH. Smaller aquariums are fine for this fish, but some open swimming space should be provided for room to "play."
Approximate arrival size for Longfin Leopard Danio: 1.5 to 2.5 inches
