Lohachata Botia Loach
Lohachata Botia Loach, Botia Lohachata, is a bottom dweller found in the waters of India and Pakistan. Also known as the Pakistani Loach, this species is seldom larger than 4 inches in length. This fish spends most of its time hiding out in caves and under rocks. Though it isn't a very colorful fish, the markings are quite extravagant. They do vary in coloration with the Pakistani variety showing much more brilliance than the Indian. These fish are peaceful creatures with a tendency for dark places. Tubifex and or Bloodworms make a tasty treat for this species. They prefer very soft and slightly acidic water conditions with high temperatures in the 80's.
