Live Feeder Mealworms
Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) are a great addition to the diet of many reptiles, because it provides variety in their diet which is very important. These mealworms are considered bulk worms, and will need to be transferred to small plastic containers (with air holes) with proper bedding after arrival. Mealworms can be kept in storage at a temperature of between 42 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit, usually this will be a refrigerator. They can be kept in the refrigerator for up to two weeks after arrival, then they should be taken out and left at room temperature for 24 hours with some cricket water gel and food in their container. After 24 hours the gel should be removed and the worms go back into the fridge for another two week period. Eventually mealworms do become beetles, so keeping them in refrigeration will help them to remain worms for a longer time giving you more time to feed them off to your pets.
