Leleupi Cichlid
The Leleupi Cichlid, Neolamprologus leleupi, is endemic to the African rift lake Tanganyika. Like other freshwater fish from the rift lakes, aquarium water should be buffered to a specific pH level. For Tanganyikan Cichlids this range is 7.4 to 9.4 and several products are available to handle this requirement. N. leleupi has a carnivorous diet primarily made up of invertebrates. When a mated pair is ready for breeding a cave should be provided. Shells are also used for homes and breeding purposes. After the pair has spawned the male should be removed from the aquarium. All captive raised cichlids offered by Pet Solutions are first generation offspring (F1) from wild caught stock. This allows us to offer the brightest colored cichlids available.
Approximate arrival size for Leleupi Cichlid: 1.5-2.5"
