Labouti Wrasse
Labouti Wrasse, Cirrhilabrus laboutei, is an Australian native whose uniquely outstanding coloration makes this fish a true potential showpiece. Naturally found swimming in the waters of the infamous Great Barrier Reef, this carnivore adapts to aquarium life when offered a wide variety of meaty foods such as Brine Shrimp and zooplankton. Reaching each a mature size of 5 inches and, typically, 3 inches in captivity, the Labouti Wrasse is highly recommended for a reef aquarium. A sand bed and Live Rock should be provided for all Fairy Wrasses. They will bury themselves in the sand to sleep or hide. Live Rock provides numerous small life forms that the Wrasses consider a tasty treat as well as being another place to hide when they feel threatened. Being “leapers", Fairy Wrasses require a covered aquarium.
