Italian Val
Italian Val, Vallisneria spiralis, is one of many choices from the Vals available for the aquatic gardener. Tape or Eel Grass as it is also known, Italian Val fills in the background of an aquascape quickly and elegantly. The rotating blades are able to grow within a wide array of aquarium parameters; it can definitely add its grace to one of your aquariums. Like other Vallisneria species, Italian Val reproduces primarily by sending out runners. Italian Val can also flower and produce seeds for the purposes of reproduction.
