Imported Sanke Japanese Descent Koi
The Sanke, or Taisho Sanke has markings similar to the Kohaku only with the addition of black to the pattern. The black markings in the pattern of a Sanke koi should be as deep of a black color as possible, almost a lacquer black is ideal. The koi of Japanese descent we offer here at Petsolutions are AAA quality rated and hand picked for quality of not only color but also body conformation. When koi are shown at events in Asia, they are usually shown in round pools and they are always viewed from above. Koi when viewed from the side do not show their best color, as the majority of the pigment is on the top side of the fish.
Koi can grow to be quite large at adult size, so a large pond of hundreds or thousands of gallons is recommended for the koi to remain at its best. Many varieties of quality pellet and stick formula pond foods are available for koi, and will be the base of any koi diet.
