Imported Kujaku Japanese Descent Koi
The texture of a Kujaku really draws interest to this fish. Kujaku koi are platinum in color with the red markings of other koi such as Kohaku, but they also have a special character to the scales. The scales of these koi create an almost net-like pattern because they have black centers, and they give a very textured appearance. This koi has a metallic sheen similar to the Platinum Ogon, but has a much different appearance due to the color differences. The koi of Japanese descent we offer here at Petsolutions are AAA quality rated and hand picked for quality of not only color but also body conformation. When koi are shown at events in Asia, they are usually shown in round pools and they are always viewed from above. Koi when viewed from the side do not show their best color, as the majority of the pigment is on the top side of the fish.
Koi can grow to be quite large at adult size, so a large pond of hundreds or thousands of gallons is recommended for the koi to remain at its best. Many varieties of quality pellet and stick formula pond foods are available for koi, and will be the base of any koi diet.
