Horseface Blenny
Horseface Blenny, Entomacrodus marmoratus, is a Hawaiian native and an incredibly useful aquarium fish. Also known as the Hawaiian Fanged Blenny, this fish is useful in the control of micro algae and general detritus. Though Blennies are territorial by nature, housing multiple Horseface Blennies and/or other types of Blennies can be attempted in larger aquariums that can afford numerous hiding places. The Horseface Blennies, of all Blennies, is accustomed to many hiding places in rock. In the wild, it uses these crevices to elude powerful wave activity. Basically peaceful, the Horseface Blenny is a completely reef safe, as far as corals, and has only had s few reports of possible tampering with extremely small inverts. It will likely readily accept most food types including frozen or live shrimp (Brine Shrimp or Mysis Shrimp), but herbivorous meals of spirulina or seaweed sheets should also be provided for this distinctive aquarium addition.
