The Green Tiger Barb is a fish best kept in schools for best effect in the freshwater aquarium. Also known as the Mossy Tiger Barb, these beautiful fish when reaching adult size are metallic shining gold in color with a green marbled flourescence on the body. Males are adorned with red accent marking at the nose and on the top fin, bottom fin, and tail fins. A fin-nipper when kept singly or in smaller groups, it is best to keep tiger barbs in schooling groups to keep them from nipping at other fish.
