Green Basilisk
Green Basilisks, (Basiliscus plumifrons), are found from Guatemala to Costa Rica in Central America where they live in tropical rain forests often near bodies of water. Although they spend most of their life in trees, basilisks are also excellent swimmers. Their webbed toes allow them to run across water surfaces and it is said that they can cross lakes in this manner.
