The Gold Severum is a personable fish that typically gets along well with a variety of other Cichlids. Golden in color, more mature specimens will reflect sheens of pink, orange, and red throughout its body. Though territorial, the Severum is rather peaceful and similar to Angel Fish in temperment. They will match up with most medium to large Community fish and other “peaceful” cichlds. Best kept in pairs of small groups, juveniles will start with several black vertical stripes on a gray/green body with small red/black freckles.

The fish pictured is one of our XL fish. The small fish will not develop the same bright color until it matures.
