Garter Snake
Garter snakes (Thamnophis sirtalis)are found throughout Southern Canada, most of the United States except the deserts, and into northern Mexico. These snakes are semi-aquatic living in close proximity of wet meadows, marshes, bogs, ponds, lakes, swamps, and streams.
