As is true with all Foxfaces, their dorsal fins are venomous and care should be taken to avoid injury. Sometimes called the Blotched Face Foxface, the One Spot will school as a juvenile, adults will usually pair up or be in smaller groups. They should not be kept with other Foxface, but can usually hold their own with other larger, aggressive fish. They have been reported to be somewhat reef safe when heavily fed, but they may decide to nip on LPS and Soft corals. The One Spot Foxface should be fed prepared foods with lots of vegetable matter or algae sheets to maintain its health.
