Foxface are bright, very active fish that get their names from the shape of heads and snouts. Great care should be taken with these fish. They have venomous spines on their dorsal, anal, and pectoral fins, which can give a nasty sting that is much worse than a bee sting. They are great for aquariums with an algae problem, because Foxfish love to graze on hair algae growing on rock in the aquarium. Because of their desire to eat greens, Foxface should be given plenty of herbivorous food in their diet, in addition to meaty food.
