This fish is recommended only for the very experienced hobbyist, as it can prove difficult to have it assume a regular eating schedule and it is very delicate and sensitive to water quality. Getting this fish to become comfortable in your aquarium may require the use of live foods, feeding certain times of the day (they may feel more comfortable feeding with lights out initially). Whether being kept in a tank with rock work or a tank without, plenty of hiding places should be provided for this fish as it will tend to be shy until it becomes familiar with its surroundings.
