Flagtail Porthole Catfish
The Flagtail Porthole Catfish Dianema urostriata is a South American native fish which is classified as an herbivore, but can also be a feeder of opportunity if enough vegetable matter is unavailable so in practical keeping they would likely be considered an omnivore. This fish is nocturnal, so it is not uncommon to find it hiding in darker places during the day and becoming more active after the lights go out. This fish can reach lengths of 5 or 6 inches in captivity.
